Nalbra Estate Wines is a small boutique vineyard owned by Teresa and Leigh Robinson. The vineyard is perched on Mount Bellarine and overlooks Port Phillip Bay.
The first vines of Shiraz and Pinot Gris were planted in 2001, followed by Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier in 2003. The soil is a black cracked self mulching clay together with a cool maritime climate of the Bellarine Peninsula and with the stress treatment of vines, produces a slow ripening flavour with an intense richness and colour. Our grapes are hand picked. The wine is made by two outstanding wine makers of the region.

Our Wines:

Territory 2009, Sauvignon Blanc-Viognier:
Made with traditional winemaking techniques, thus producing a blend that is well balanced with a rich complexity of flavour, including gooseberry, passionfruit and a wonderful hint of apricot which is derived from the small percentage of Viognier used.
Alcohol 13.5%

Territory 2009, Pinot Gris:
French oak chips were used in this method. It is a complex white wine with aromas of fresh pear and an intensity of fruit flavour that comes from slow ripening fruit. Complemented by spicy overtones, it has a long lingering finish. Awarded a Bronze Medal by Federation Square Victorian Wine Regions Showcase Series- Wine Awards february, 2007

Territory 2009, Shiraz:
This wine displays a deep purple colour with a powerful bouquet of pepper, spice and blackberry, the palate is intense and complex displaying Shiraz characteristics of ripe dark cherry, spice, licorice, black olives and pepper which is complemented by judicious use of selected French Oak. A tight acid backbone and fine integrated tannins support the wine. Should develop well over the next 2-5 years.

Territory 2010, Shiraz-Viognier:
Using grapes from this site coupled with traditional winemaking techniques we have produced a Shiraz Viognier blend of great finesse and complexity. The nose is intensely spicy, complemented by rich fruit and forest floor aromas. The palate is well-balane, has wonderful texture, with fine tannim and a long finish. This fine cool climate wine drinks well now but will also age gracefully.

The 2010 season has created a wine with both finesse and opulence, with layers of complexity ad lusciousness. The wine is pale gold with green highlights. The nose displays intense aromas of white peach, apricot, ginger and citrus. Ginger spice is layered on the palate with mineral allure with complex citrus. Apricots and white stone fruit flavours.
